"It might be wiser to say nothing than to utter dissent, if, in so doing, both were made unhappy," returned her father.
"And so let him think me a passive fool?" she asked.
"No; a prudent girl, shaming his unreasonableness by her self-control."

This is a story about a young married couple who love each other very much. But unfortunately carried away by their self will and possesion, that they buried their real love for each other. They are Lost in their mind and seperated. Trying to find answers to their life at question, they realise each others love after a long journey of life.
A must read novel for all ages.
Personally, Am moved a lot, I feel my own story behind this novel. Irene and Hartley are still in my Eyes.
I feel i got some answers to my questions about living too. You will understand what i mean after you finish this reading until THE END.
