It's story of a simple girl 'Felicite' who, unlike to her devotional belief and pure love for everyone:her mistress(Madam Aubain), parrot 'Loulou', Virginia and Paul(Children of a Widow 'Aubain'), Theodore(Her first love), Victor(Her nephew), has been destroyed in her heart either by their parting or death or betrayal and at last embraces death. She has no other world than of affection and bond, for she had no family of own. This Novel portrays a world for innocence, and fate of those who are simple in their 'soul' but have no human-bond ever lasting. You'll not be tired reading this.It may also give information on Christian culture and ceremonies:Altar, holy bread, etc, but there is no reason to not try for anti- or non-Christians, for 'Simple Soul' has more to aspiring writers and readers of novels...(Universalman / Kosovo.)

Also known as "A Simple Heart". A beautiful and elegant story of a simple girl with a pure heart and filled with love, even when downtrodden. Poor and uneducated, often unseen and forgotten. It can bring a tear to your eye! Well worth reading!
