A fearsome thing is a thing you're afraid of--and it has nothing whatever to do with whether others are afraid, nor with whether it is in fact dangerous. It's your view of the matter that counts!

A confused man wakes in a strange room full of odd objects. As he explores, his memories begin to come back to him. Eventually, he realizes he has been transported from his prison cell to a strange city in the future.
A fairly straightforward story. The identification of the protagonist at the conclusion seems a bit heavy-handed.
