"She said she was like a recorder that took everything in and reported it just like a recorder. What I was slowly realizing was that yes, she was like a machine - a recorder that took the info in, twisted, spun it into whatever, and then used it as a weapon to stir up controversy or create problems."

"The N has no feeling of any kind, you must absolutely remember that. Any 'feelings' or emotions shown are like those put on by an actor on stage. They look good, but are only an act."

"The person with NPD is unpredictable, that is part of the disorder. Their world is a heaving, restless, unquiet place, full of anxieties and unknown quantities. Definitely not what i thought it was going to be based off the title. I went ahead and read the book with an open mind (Until it got so ridiculously repetitive and ignorant that i could not stand it). Honestly, it is garbage. This is from a forum of people (women as far as i could tell) describing experiences with a "narcissist". I do suggest reading it to simply remind youself why it is a great idea to continue to educate yourself farther.

The book is so bd for several major flaws.

1.) The list of possible traits one may have can describe narcissism... along with 20 other mental disorders and if the traits are answered honestly by anyone (It may not apply completely to you, but if it does in some way shape or form it probably would be a yes on a lesser level, but still a trait to tally) could make you believe you are a narcissist to.

2.) Most of the book is gender oriented, I could have sworn narcissism is a disease and last time i checked it was not completely gender oriented towards Males being the Nacissist.

3.) Narcissism is considered a mental disorder, these "victims" claim so highly of how bad they have it, but through what i could force myself to read never once tried to get the person help to fix the problems at hand. (Even after identifying the problem several times)

4.) (Personal Opinion completely so take it with a grain of salt) These are women (and i believe a few men from what read but i refuse to ever look at this book again to verify) who are weak minded enough to not notice the signs of a bad relationship. I'm sorry, bu i love him is not an excuse to stay with him through constant berating, abuse, assault, and other issues.

5.) The Finale: If this is a disease, why are the people who are considered the narcissist's allowed to on a forum that is supposed to be to help others dealig with the issue, ALLOWED AT ALL to speak of these people as evil/vindictive/cruel. This book went from being quotes of possible humor or stories, to being a congregation of small excerpts from a forum of one side of a story that simply states "I am a victim pity me"

(This is an opinion and only an opinion that was quickly written and badly executed due to not wasting anymore time on a lousy book.)
