Meant for young girls. Some will find it predictable, disappointingly minimal, or forgettable; possibly all those three. So-so, at best.

The Kama Sutra--what can I say? Hm...OK. Remaining impartial, I call this one a classic. The Kama Sutra informs and (I speak personally) amuses the reader. As the 'notes' portion up there says (look), it's a "standard work on love in the Sanskrit literature"; I think that's what should entice everyone to read it. 3 stars. No hype.

The stories of Charles Dickens are very easy to love.

Though not as popular as his other opuses, Great Expectations enchants the reader through--as with many of Dickens' works--memorable characters, clever use of words, and a well-woven plot. Wordiness and the author's seeming resentment of women are my only problems with this novel. 4. =)

Ageless work, brilliant man. Sun Tzu's Art of War is worth all the praise. A must-read. Keep a small book of this in your pocket, and you'll never encounter an enemy you can't beat. d= Just use your "common sense"? Of course, everyone should; but in our time, when stupid is hot and noble leadership is, like, so yesterday, don't we all need something to awake the inner tactician in us? 5 stars.

Doyle's stories have aged; younger readers who crave big suprises, action, action, and more action will be disappointed with this collection. But if you're a voracious reader, or you appreciate every little Of course! moments, then downloading The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes will be worthwhile for you. 3 stars, to avoid misleading anyone. d=

Delightful: Innocent, honest and fanciful Anne Shirley will charm you as she experiences life with the Cuthberts and at her new home in Green Gables. L.M. Montgomery perfectly protrays the simplicity and many wonders of childhood. Read it! A four. Because nothing is perfect. =)

A friend borrowed my copy of Anne of the Island. I never got it back, I guess it means she liked it. I, on the other hand, don't. OK, much--not flat out dislike. Before reaching HS, I adored the book; but as i grew up, I found this installment of the Anne Series dull and--I can't remember whether it lacks romance or has too much of it--weak as a romance novel. Too bad Anne of the Island lacks the sparkle L.M. Montgomery captured with Anne of Green Gables. *shrugs* I as a true Anne & Gilbert fan, HOWEVER, CANNOT discount the closure this book has given me. Maybe just for that I could give it a 5, haha. Well, no, I give it a 3. =)
