One of my favorite plays! I first read it about thirty-five years ago in a drama class at university, and loved it then. It is delightful and Sheridan is a master of comedy.

I have loved this book since I first read it forty years ago. Jane Austen was a brilliant writer. She writes with subtlety, intelligence and wit and her style is light and pleasant. There is not a dull moment in this story, and as the years have gone by, I have learned to appreciate new depths to the characters that escaped me in my youth. I have to say that all her novels are of the same quality -- Jane Austen had a wonderful understanding of character.
