Amazing story about a couple who discover they're both chafing against society's expectations that have nothing to do with them as individuals, but solely as members of a gender. It's sad and fluffy and very well-written with a touch for human pathos on an intimate level.
A very short short story about marital infidelity and the "crazy cat lady" who played a huge role one night when murder was almost done. The only two characters who seemed vividly drawn were the lord's wife and the cat lady spinster.
A story of slightly horrific bent about a Russian princess who fears she may go blind. During a stay in Tunis, she hears of a man who can cure ailments with jewels. Her desperation leads to thievery and mutilation. A fine story told like a fairy tale.
