Mary Webb is my favorite author, even though this book is tragic, unlike Precious bane. It's a must read!

Balzac is always so full of emotion, even in a sad story. A must read!

One of those books you can't put down so the emotion is high. Realistic and heart wrenching though. Precious book indeed!
