Do not be misled by the author credit this is Rider Haggard at his very best. It contains all the elements true to Rider Haggard coupled with classical research of Andrew Lang. A tale of eternal love, hate and magic, in ancient Egypt with one of the greatest Heroes of all time, Odysseus. The battle scenes are magnificent with the last being truly stiring. One of my all time favourites.
