I haven't read very far into the book but I already like it. It's reminiscent of The Pickwick Papers. I almost thought Dickens was writing it under a pseudonym. I hope the humor of these little anecdotes keeps up!

A young man goes against his father's wishes and marries a girl beneath his station. The girl turns out to be quite a piece of work. Lots of suspense and tension. Highly recommended.

I haven't yet finished it but so far it is wonderful! Extremely well-written satire. I think it's going to be one of my all-time favorite books.

The last book in the Barsetshire series by Trollope. A great story, compelling characters, tragic and satirical at the same time. Highly recommended.

This reminded me of an Alfred Hitchcock episode. It is a bit disturbing, unlike his other works, but I enjoyed it as an audiobook from librivox.

I haven't finished it yet, but I am riveted. The book was told to the author by an ex-courtier from the court of Kaiser Wilhelm before WWI. He cheerfully reveals the scandals and creepy personalities of the royalty and other court followers. Very fun reading.

A compelling plot and strong characters. This is the first book I've read by Trollope. I'm going to read more. Recommended.

The wry narrator of this book shoots off many hilarious one-liners. It's a great comedy and very entertaining!

A novel about the twilight of absolute monarchy in the days before WWI. The Hamlet-like crown prince of a fictitious balkan kingdom is beset by doubts about his superiority. His father, a staunch absolutist, is the target of revolutionary activity.
