I can't imagine a better pirate novel. Sabatini makes Peter Blood such an enjoyable character, without overdoing his awesomeness. The guy has character, and he's a good quick thinker. I love the subtle snarky comments that Blood is so good at dishing out. The relationships are interesting, and setting is easy to envision, and the swashbuckling adventure elements are plentiful. I highly recommend this book for fans of seafaring adventure.
