Great action tale of pirate warfare in space. Told with old-fashioned panache and drama, calculated to keep the reader engaged up until the final word. And it does. Highly recommend.
This short story centered on the now familiar theme of an outwardly benign planet with hidden deadliness is worth the read. No real surprises, but well written and creative.
Dueling to the death on a manmade battlefield hovering above Earth is the central idea behind this short story, which puts the United Nations in a not-so-favorable (some would say accurate) light.
This story of rejuvenation is kind of unfocused and wavering and leaves the reader wishing the writer had been a little more straightforward in her approach. Okay, I guess, but imminently forgettable.
Told mostly from the first-person viewpoint of a farmer living in upstate New York at around the turn of the 20th century, this is a short but poignant little story that never fails to hold interest. The premise: a spaceship crashes on the property of said farmer, providing him with an unexpected addition to his household.
