This book held my attention all the way through. Although rather melodramatic and a long drawn out story it is well written and the characterizations quite believable. And I'm a sucker for a happy ending!

I enjoyed this novel although at times it seemed a bit wordy. A bit dated but I liked the twist at the end. One thing about it, there is usually no profanity in stories of this vintage. This is refreshing in view of the penchant for including it in more recent works.

I just finished reading this book. I enjoyed it immensely. It actually had me laughing out loud in places and that's good for your health. One of the Wosehouse gems! I highly recommend it.
