A fantastic fairy tale, but so much more! Princess Irene must use her wits and courage to escape the goblins who want to kidnap her from her father the king's house in Scotland. This is a deeply spiritual book (even for this Atheist girl!), which values truth, loyalty, love, etc. Irene's relationship with her grandmother is absolutely lovely! Wonderful, wonderful wonderful book!!
