John Jones’s book reviews

OK the excerpt is dry as 3 day old turkey, but after reading a good chunk of this book it is actually pretty good.

Great book!!! I have never seen or heard of the the TV series, but I am sure that it can't compare to this story. This is the first book of Sir Arther Conan Doyle's that I have read and it just became one of my favorite books. This book is as much fun or even more fun than any of Michael Crichton's Jurasic Park books. Download and read it. You won't regret it.

While I am not usually a mystery fan, I did find this book quiet enjoyable. There are lots of interesting characters and no the mummy does not come to life. There is an obsessed egyptologist, his grown but young stepdaughter, her fiance the painter, the egyptologist's slave. A British aristocrat who is an officer in the army, A don from Peru and his regal daughter. This is to only mention a few. There are also more twists and turns than a high speed roller coaster Download it and read it. You won't regret it!

I am an internet junkie with chatmates scattered around the globe. This means I am sleep deprived and harbor a fear and hatred of the first month of daylight savings time. To say that this book struck a chord in me is an understatement. The story caught me with the first chapter and kept me awake and on my computer all the way to the end.

A very fun read. I read it in one sitting. Very visual and the characters are people that you can relate to. It is like watching a really good 40's movie set in modern times.
