Keri’s book reviews

I've read this book a few times, Wharton is wonderful. However, while it is a great story, well written, with well developed characters, EVERY time I've read it I throw it across the room. I am always frustrated by the choices of the female characters, and the unworthiness of Archer.
Despite that, I always enjoy this book and recommend it to anyone.

I'd never read this before, it is a delightful book. Well worth reading for the young or the young at heart!

Its the story of a boy who moves to a new home, and when exploring finds an unique friend. If you know the story of the phoenix, then the end is a little obvious but well written.

I just didn't believe that any parents would be that accepting of things - LOL, but it wasn't THAT important to the story.

Also nice is that there is a short bit on the author and why he wrote the book, I always enjoy that.

pretty amazing actually. I went through this site downloading books that sounded good - having no idea if I would enjoy them or not. I was amused by the main character - not to say that I found the story humorous - just that his predjudices and assumptions were amusing. It had a wonderful ending, that may not be realistic, but I found satisfying.
