Navin’s book reviews

Collection of short stories. Portrayed as happenings around Avonlea. Anne shirley occasionally pops up at places. Brings out some deep emotions. The appreciative part of the human emotions portrayed are that they are so true to real life. if you happen to get into the mind of the character you can feel the emotions. BUt yes that is the best part of reading.

One of the stories has a violin music described to show the ultimate of human search; God. Very beautifully written. I\'ll be reading all of Lucy Maud\'s books.

Anne series ended with a bang. Wonderful ending. Emotion packed book. if you have gone through the entire six books continously, its just awesome to travel the emotions with everyone of the character and their emotions. To feel what people of that time might have felt about the WW1. The first biggest carnage of humans.

Beautiful. A proud mother, a beautifully portrayed metamorphosis of Rilla. Wonderfully completed. Loved the entire series. Will be reading more of Motgomery books.

After reading the last 4 books. This one makes us being a part of the family trying to fugure out where our heroine whent and figuring out the similarities of anne and gilbert in her kids. Montgomery is wonderful in writing the minds of kids and how they think. Good one to get into the minds and hearts of kids. And maybe get into your own heart and try to get it to wakeup if forgotten how to be a child.

One of the books is missing is what I assumed after searching info about anne series. As I've been married for 5 yrs now. I could relate with this book. But reality and the 2008 are totally different and to see the difference in attitudes of people in both the ages is so wonderful to see. Beautiful book. A New bride. All she is looking for is happiness. Other things are tools to be used for the happiness.

One of the best things about being a kid, is the innocence and purity. Every other thought is what you learn as you grow up. Keeping a check on vice thoughts is what religions have been developed for. This has been wonderfully blended in the story.
NO person can still view his or her world around in the same innocect eyes as they did during thier childhood or teens.. everything gets greying... and in this age you have to force your eyes to look and read books like these to maintain those pure thoughts.

Recalling your own innocent thoughts of childhood helps calm us from the rush of the present age.

Wonderfully written. I just entered my 30s was a little grief sticken over it :p.
Reading this book and the entire series. Brought back memories of my childhood. and the fun I had. I too had a good imagination :D. COuld not keep the book down till i finished all the 6 books. Wonderful for kids Who are entering their teens just to get a glimpse of Life itself. Even though a story pains are never missed. Everyone has to go through pains. Life still goes on. Would surely recommend to all ages.
