What a marvellous little story.I'm not a religious man but it made me think of the good and bad in Everyman.

He seems to me to be one of the greatest writers of detective stories the world has ever seen.

What a superb detective story although written In 1867 it is relevant to life today.We had a similar case in NZ recently.

Terrific story.I searched for more of his books but could not find any.
