Another masterly short story by Stoker. It's a mistake to always assume his best work was Dracula, although very good, he also wrote many great edge of seat shorts which stand the test of time well
First of this authors work I have read and was very impressed. I seem to recall a film made of it which of course meant the ending was no surprise, however the style of writing is very good and I'm now looking for more of his work.
A little dated by comparison to more modern sci-fi/fantasy. However, makes for a good read and this style of book is about suspended credulity. Looking forward to reading the sequel.
enjoyed reading these stories, although Dracula doesn't really appear. Stoker has become typecast with the Count, but this proves that he could write captivating tales of suspense.
Finally have gotten around to reading a Jules Verne novel. Absolutely riveting read from beginning to end, the various films made just don\'t do it justice and am now looking forward to reading more of this authors works
