I read the Civil War Series twice when I was in the fifth and sixth grade. My father read them when he was a teenager. I am passing these books on to my niece and nephews. I am now in my 50's and am enjoying reading these books again.
I grew up considering him one of my best authors. I always felt that I was there with his characters.
