The story of a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar and anthropomorphic creatures. The tale is filled with allusions to Dodgson's friends. The tale plays with logic in ways that have given the story lasting popularity with adults as well as children. It is considered to be one of the most characteristic examples of the genre of literary nonsense, and its narrative course and structure have been enormously influential, especially in the fantasy genre. --Wikipedia

t talk of cats or dogs if you don't like them!" When the Mouse heard this it turned round and swam back to her; its face was quite pale (with rage, Al-ice thought), and it said in a low, weak voice, "Let us get to the shore, and then I'll tell you why it is I hate cats and dogs."

It was high time to go, for the pool was by this time quite crowded with the birds and beasts that had slipped in-to it. Al-ice led the way and they all swam to the shore.

CHAPTER III.

A RACE.

They were a queer look-ing crowd as they stood or sat on the bank--the wings and tails of the birds drooped to the earth; the fur of the beasts clung close to them, and all were as wet and cross as could be.

The first thought, of course, was how to get dry. They had a long talk a-bout this, and Al-ice joined with, them as if she had known them all her life. But it was hard to tell what was best.

"What I want to say," at last spoke up t

I have noticed that reviewers have not mentioned the logical absurdities and moral mockeries of this wonderful book. Take the cat that disappears such that only his
"smile" is left: Logically impossible, since a smile is a behavior, not objects that are so behaving. The walrus and carpenter, eating oysters: speculation about the moral superiority of one over the other, as one eats more, but feels deeply sorry for the oysters, and the other eats less, but feels no sympathy. I hope that parents can read the original to children. The cartoon version should be put off until the original has been read to the kids.

I read this book as a child and loved it because it was something so totally different to anything I had read before. Reading it again as an adult I saw different things in it as you'd expect but I loved it just as much because it offers you a world that you feel you may have half glimpsed in your dreams. Once read, never forgotten - it's a classic read.
Alice in Wonderland will project the thoughts of a smart eight year old girl, traveling through a bizarre land where time, space, and size are interchangeable.

Alice bears the proud and demanding tones of reputable animals, and tries to keep her head while contradicting queens.

Lewis Carroll provides a quaint and unusual outlook to the strongest points of Victorian history, particularly for young girls.
Anyone who is interested in logical nonsense should at least read this beautiful book at least once.

"Begin at the begining and go on till you come to the end, and then stop"

A must read classic by famous master logician- mathematician Lewis Carroll.
The story has been pretty well told in the movies. But the book did offer some additional details and insights into the characters . A good easy read that was enjoyable.
