I like this book very much it kept my interest to the end. It was written right after world war one, and this book shows the difference between the old Edwardian way of things, and the new era that it coming with a younger generation that have a different way of viewing things.
It was interesting as a study of the time, and the ideas people had. As a story I found that the plot was rather enjoyable, but the author did not trouble herself to be a bit realistic.
One of my favorite books. It is as good as Jane Austen. It made me laugh and cry. As soon as I was done with it, I went and looked up the rest of Florence L. Barclay's books and all of them I could find.
