There are at least 6 stories here with a modest link in that they all involve some kind of crime, and therefore qualify as mystery stories. All are very well written, though the ending on the last one left me shaking my head, looking for the next paragraph. All in all, well worth reading and now I am looking for more by Mr Cobb.

Curious concept- idle man gets involved as an advisor and in the process solves crimes, brings families back together, does all kinds of things. Still, an interesting read and credible once his occupation is accepted.

Yep, I agree with almost everything the other review states about this, except I really enjoyed it. Let your imagination relax, that is what the author did, and enjoy a love/adventure/political/comedic story and while there may not be a Pulitzer involved it is not a waste of time either.
