Kora’s book reviews

This short story, without a doubt, is worth a 5 star rating! Written in in the early 20th century, it is hauntingly prophetic of today's times, and for that reason leaves the reader with quite a chill! Download it now.

When I began reading this book I was convinced that the saccharine Pollyanna would wear me down. She didn't. I ended up thoroughly enjoying this book and am quite surprised that this being an American classic, yet so little people have read it? I'd expect more reviews and more downloads! The bottom line is, if you want to instil in your kids the importance of a positive attitude, read them this book! Also: there's a sequel on manybooks.net called "Pollyanna grows up". I will be checking out this book soon as well :)

If you like amusing ghost stories than this could be up your alley. For me it was just OK.

A really odd story that was just OK for me. Hence 2 stars.

Although the short story had a great dialogue, the story seems to imply that if a woman gets notions in her head of some kind of societal improvement league (seen silly by the men), all a man has to do is threaten her money supply and she'll behave nicely.
