Bit of a painful read for a collection of plagiarised fairytales. Not really suitable for children as contains incest, murder, torture and concept of constant surveillance.
First half is about brutal univeral overlord who wipes out various groups, at one stage the whole population of the planet.
Second half is even more bizarre: all powerful creator for some reason creates a son who is put there to be tortured so that the creator will forgive mankind. Never quite figured out why he didn't just snap the fingers rather than torture a being (although compared to the first half where he slaughters children etc.. nice to see just one person getting tortured/killed for a change).
Would give it a miss and read something decent, something less nonsensical and less waffling.
