spoils the noble works of Baum's imagination! This is one of the books I'd read and "un-read" afterwards. In otherwords, I forget it even exists, because it adds sand to the food, not salt.

I love this book! Something good, I do recommend it for anyone. It shows the power of silence, the awe of in-built majesty, how far it can take one who has it in him/herself.
In the Christian life, we should have the character of those in this book. The young boy... he blessed me by his character and full absolute unquestioning trust in his father.

Good book, but not as good as the first. If it had an originality of its own, perhaps I'd have rated it excellent. The aura around Badshah is dimmed in this novel, I had a respect for this fictional creature. The first novel makes him a god, the next lowers its position.

Nice ending anyway, I love good endings!

Totally contrary to my expectations... It's like a very incorrect summary for a literature project.
I had expected another book on Sara, not this that fairly contradicts a lot in the first noble book. It made me lose a lot of the respect I had of the Sara in the first book, "A little Princess". So, I just pretend I didn't read this one, and assume there's only the former book, not this.

I love the book from the beginning, because of the rich olden Anglo-Saxon English format of writing, the romance in the green woods, etc. What totally turned me against he book was the [ending].

Recommendation? If you know true love, and has just failed in one, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK! It'll kill you. I never had a pleasant sleep last night, and I'm likely to have a bad week-end... I take novels that seriously.
