I have found that this book is best digested in parts, not whole. The style is very different from modern prose. So, today\'s reader can find it to be a chore at times (I know I did!) .

That being said, this is a wonderful book that is still very exciting to read. It is well worth reading.

Oh goodness, folks! I enjoyed Ulysses and Harry Potter equally. Harry Potter was a success because he helped to introduce many children (my generation especially) to the world of reading. One is no better than the other. You are not superior because you understand Ulysses!
