Good collection of poetry by Frost. Every poem relates to or describes a field or pasture, a nature/naturalistic theme throughout.
"Ghost House" being my fav
Amazing poem, one of the best I have ever read, not to complicated but some lines are misunderstood
But you have to understand it to fully enjoy this gothic piece, recommended
:)
Patience is key to reading this epic poem, only then can you understand the full scope of Miltons writing, which is incredible to say the least
And if patience isnt in you then I recommend finding annotated versions online, as there are many from many, anything that will make you see this work, since it is more about seeing Miltons vision than reading
♥
As others have already said this is a great book, a collection of short stories that have an extraordinary amount of depth
My personal favs are "The Hungary Stones" "The Victory" "The Home-coming" "My Lord, The Baby"
Highly recommended :)
Good set of poems, not all will be to everyone's liking but many will have an impact on your mind ,hopefully in a good way :)
War-Baby, Winter-Lull, Bombardment, Obsequial Ode, Shades, Ruination, Rondeau of a Conscientious Objector, and Nostalgia are some of the poems that are very good
Though I basically named all of them :(
The Raven alone deserves all praise though the other two works are quite good as well, no doubt these works are a must read for their depth in words and rhyme, so go ahead and enjoy, preferably with a sherry
:)
Great read, a short story about a plague called the Red Death wiping out most of the worlds population. The "what" and "when" is answered by James Smith who tells his the "history" to his "primitive" grandsons, of course his grandsons listen to him like, as if, he is telling them tall tales which is amusing, not that this story is meant to be funny, or is it? no, no, its not meant to be funny but its definitely a good read
Good read, some "lines" are hard to understand due to them having different meanings or jumping from one setting to another without pause but the last 10 to 15 lines really tell the reader about the poem and about Lamia and Lycius
Tragic ending, but thats not surprising, they were about to marry ;)

Reminds me of "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy.
Truly a good read but still leaves a empty feeling to me
Does that sort of rhyme? Anyway, read it!
