A Short Horror Story
On Halloween night, best friends Katy and Dana meet a mischievous little boy while walking home after trick or treating.
Book Excerpt
slipped off of the edge of the curb and the little boy staggered clumsily into the empty street with a loud cry.
"I'm gonna clobber you with this thing!" Dana bellowed leaping off of the curb and sliding gracefully into the street behind Tom.
Tom ran faster.
Dana quickened her pace and ran behind Tom.
Katy sprinted closely behind Dana.
"Dana no! Don't do it!" Katy shouted.
Tom ran into the center of the street. He stopped suddenly and turned around.
Tom stared at Dana with an expression of menace across his features. His breaths poured from his form in heavy rasps. His chubby face was flushed crimson.
Dana stopped a few paces in front of Tom. She glared at the little boy with a menacing sneer while holding the pumpkin in her hand.
Katy ran into the street and she stopped beside Dana. Katy grabbed Dana's left arm and said, "Dana, please don't throw that pumpkin at him. You could get into trouble and he's not worth it."

Didn't like it that much. I think it was a little too childish for me. For me, it has an R.L. Stine feel to it.

Didn't like it that much and it gives me the impression that I'm reading an R.L. Stine story.

An amusing little short horror story, quite graphic in it's detail. I will search for more stories by this author.

It's Hallowe'en and the zombies are out. Is it just costumes or something else? A good short story that I wish would have been even longer.
