Woe is me.

Thou art my love,
And thou art the ashes of other men's love,

There seem to be at least two poems here. Crane can write short, pithy, poems, but this is long and indirectly preachy. He doesn't preach, he lets the sea and the trees and a seashell preach.
It's a curiosity, but not very good poetry.
This book is amazing, it describes the horrors of war from different points of view, it was realistic and Im sure that the author wanted to make us think about how unnecessary is war for this world!!!!
