Steve W is a pompous, Roman donkey! I will download the book just to spite him. Plus, why would I spend money on a book when it's totally free? Sounds like he's got a big wallet but a small brain.
This book does not use the same diacritics as more modern ones do, and those that are used do not appear properly in some fonts. If you are so frugal that you cannot bear to part with a few dollars for Wheelock's Latin, then try this one.
Few bek(book plural)
grip you with the first turning
of a page.
This book,
for those with a sincere
interest, curiosity
and will power to learn
the Roman mind and
the Roman Weltanschaaung
will be dazzled to find
a master's labor of love
that cannot be dimmed for any
age.
Come, con(study)
and see the world
as a Roman saw it.
Clear, direct, concise
sober and beautiful.
