(1905) Humor (Silly definitions)

R: * * * * *
Plot bullets

Really more of adoubtful dictionary than a silly encyclopedia.
All entries absolutely absurd and very humorous.
Find out how much defining power the funny bone has over the brain.
Sample:
o APPLAUSE. The fuss which we think the world ought to make over us for doing our duty.
o AUTOMOBILE. A horseless idea which makes people go fast and the money go faster. A tide in the affairs of man which, taken between the shoulder blades and the curbstone, leads on to the hospital.
Mr. Know-a Lot (Noah Lott), declares that he is the ex-relative of Noah Webster. If he ever was his relative, this book would have certainly sealed that fate.
