With his characteristic quickwittedness he caught the drift of each innuendo, divined whence it came, at whom and on what ground it was aimed, and that afforded him, as it always did, a certain satisfaction. A classic. Excellent read. Really enjoyable story and so evocative of the period.

I had gone through this text only a few months ago and after that it has now become my fevourite book. I can not express how much I've liked it. Every situation is expressed so easily and in a logical manner that the readers become puzzled whether this is a fiction or a non-fiction.

Anna Karenina is a true master piece. A highly engaging work of fiction with an incredible charm of the life and times in the Russian aristocratic society...Not only is the plot very interesting but so is the sub plot involving Kitty and Levin. Very much recommended!

I find this book very interesting. Not only it shows scandal but it gives a look into the Russian aristocracy in all its complexities.

I really enjoyed this one. Tolstoy is a great writer. I love War and Peace and others. Anna Karena was very interesting to read. Highly recommend it..

Tolsoty manges to bring to life a period of history now distant from ourselves and does so in a way that resonates throught the age. Forget War and Peace this is his best book, it is long but when reading it seems like a short book as you get caught up in Anna's world. The debate still rages scheming harlot or misunderstood heroine. You decide!
