The Life and Struggles of Tess a squatrer who is not more than 17 is wonderful.. The Sequel of this book is also very bueatiful written. The Secret of the storm country.. the sequel of this book further tells abt the growing of tess from a girl to a woman is fascinating.
Tess is not your typical heroine but she has her own special flavor. The daughter of a squatter, Tess is considered beneath the Ithaca village inhabitants, but when her "daddy skinner" is falsely accused of murder Tess sets out on the journey from a girl into a woman. As Tess grows and falls in love (with the minister's son) she must make some tough choices that threaten to rend her heart asunder. I liked the book and how Tess, though not aware of it, touched so many lives.
