A very good story, Caselberg does a good job of world building. As stated in a previous review, sometimes the names could get confusing. Overall, the book is more about the political and less about the science, but a great book nonetheless.
I enjoyed this book - it's a short read but has fairly good character development. Toward the end it seems to leave out some details that gets it to its final climax, and the very last paragraph is kind of hokey, but it still deserves a good rating. The story is interesting, and the backdrop is well thought out.
This is a good short story, worth downloading and reading. It leaves a fair amount unexplained - and rushes through some of the plot - but overall a good read.
Maybe it was because I didn't read the other books in the series, but I found this book difficult to read, and it seemingly took forever to finish it. There were fun parts, and some cool concepts, but the story went nowhere. Plus, the characters seemed like supermen, with abilities to devise and construct new weapons or tools in just hours.
