Don Summers-Smith’s book reviews

I first came across this book as a radio play, which i enjoyed very much. The book too is excellent and very enjoyable, The "Olde Worlde" style is quite hard to follow at times but is well worth persevering and the rewards are great. Will read the follow up book "Martin Conisby's Revenge" in the near future.

Dr Thorndyke is a brilliant character that makes this book worth reading,i like the idea of people using finger-print machines to collect fingerprints as you would collect books or stamps or something! worth reading

I liked this book, a quirky little story, well written and quite amusing with a vast array of characters. An entertaining whodunnit ,I would recommend this book to read on a really cold miserable day, snuggled up in front of the fire with a large whiskey.

I didn't really enjoy this book,i found it too muddled and it didn't seem to flow.By the end i was just glad to finish the book and start another one.

A brilliant book,an interesting account of Cole Younger's life.Highly enjoyable and informative. It has given me a thirst to read more on the Southern heroes especially Quantrell.A must read book for history buffs.

James Bond meets Scooby doo! the action comes thick and fast but just couldn,t hold my attention long enough and found it quite predictable but i'm not giving up on this author just yet.
