yeah I agree with the last comment, and the end was a bit of an anticlimax. Also is there some confusion between a changeling and a shape-shifter? two very different things

Peter Watts writes a huge story that asks more questions than it answers
It's a book I read almost at one sitting and I will read again
in a few months time ,it's well worth it

Great story well put together, proving my theory that the 'special effects' are better in a book.
I will look out for more books by this guy

A five star book if anything ever was..
It made me re read Naked Lunch and On the Road .
The language is just right, the lack of plot is just perfect , who needs a plot anyway plots are for squares....
