This is a good read for those who are interested in life as it was in years past and especially in the Gold Rush years of Alaska. To hear it from a woman's point of view makes it ever more interesting and unusual.
This book is another very good read by Mr. Burroughs. The story has plenty of unexpected twists and turns. One thing that I don't like about Tarzan though is how he is so forgiving of the villians in his life. Tarzan is in the same boat as Batman , Superman and others in this regard. He lets the bad guy live for another day and then gets repaid by more violence. Will he never learn?
This book is awesome! I didn't care for the ending but that will be addressed in the next few books I'm sure.
If you only read one Tarzan book, read this one. Oh, and number 6 as well!!!
Due to Rachael's recommendation I read this book first of all the Tarzan series. Thanks Rachael and thanks Manybooks and Gutenburg project !
I had not read any of the Tarzan books until now and I just didn't know what I was missing! The stories are believable and earthy, not at all like some of the nonsense that passes for writing today.
I'm on to book number 1 now and plan to read the whole series if possible.
Mr. Burroughs is an awesome author! What an imagination!
