Loved this series. Really takes you to a different place. Not for the faint of heart. Once I read the first one....I had to read the rest!
I had the great honor of being able to read this novel when she first conceived it (as well as the other novels in the Deviations Series).

Many times I would freak out at the vivid imagery especially when it came to cannibalism that occurs throughout the book.

However, the social commentary that is woven throughout the story is thought provoking and makes you reevaluate what you think you know about yourself and society at large.

The novel sometimes seems difficult to read but persistence is the key if you wish to enjoy a rewarding experience.
