Alice in Wonderland
Alice in Wonderland
The story of a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar and anthropomorphic creatures. The tale is filled with allusions to Dodgson's friends. The tale plays with logic in ways that have given the story lasting popularity with adults as well as children. It is considered to be one of the most characteristic examples of the genre of literary nonsense, and its narrative course and structure have been enormously influential, especially in the fantasy genre. --Wikipedia

It was high time to go, for the pool was by this time quite crowded with the birds and beasts that had slipped in-to it. Al-ice led the way and they all swam to the shore.

A RACE.
They were a queer look-ing crowd as they stood or sat on the bank--the wings and tails of the birds drooped to the earth; the fur of the beasts clung close to them, and all were as wet and cross as could be.

The first thought, of course, was how to get dry. They had a long talk a-bout this, and Al-ice joined with, them as if she had known them all her life. But it was hard to tell what was best.

This is not the classic book by Lewis Carroll that you're looking for. This is a rewrite by JC Gorham, the story re-told in words of one syllable. Look for "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" instead. That's the one you want.

I've read it over and over, and never grow tired of it! The lack of logic in the story is a nice contrast to our world that is too full of cold logic. I find Alice charming, and the rampant wordplay very fun!

Love this book, it's not the complete version, I noticed while only skimming it. My favourite part by far, the walrus's monolouge(thing).

Absolutely LOVE this story! My 6 year-old wouldn't let me stop reading. I love that she already has such a love of books! This is a great story for children, simple, fun and recognizable.

This version is abridged. It's missing chapters 9 and 10. It's even missing the disappearing Cheshire Cat. Why? It's not a long book in the first place.
Don't waste your time with this thing, look for a complete version elsewhere.
I give it one star as a reflection of this version rather than the work itself.

This isn't the complete work. I don't know how much it has been abridged, but there a chunks, including the pepper song taken out from the "Pig and the Pepper" Chapter.
